How to Order Dog Agility Equipment

Our practice grade A-frames are fabricated from 1" welded steel tubing with one, 1/2" steel tubing truss welded underneath on each side to minimize flex in the frame, and Poly Metal aluminum/plastic composite skins.  The fabricated steel frames are sandblasted and powder coated, and the Poly Metal skins are painted with a premium exterior flat paint and textured with your choice of either sand or rubber.  You can order your A-frame in pretty much any color combination you desire, however it is far cheaper to order it unfinished and paint it yourself.  Our standard practice grade A-frame is 8' high and 3' wide, and we can build it with or without slats.  If you need a 9' A-frame, then you should look at our competition grade A-frame.

Our practice grade A-frame top hinge is the same as it is on our competition grade frame.  We do not use a pre-made hinge at the top of our A-frames like some manufacturers do because we don't believe they are strong enough.  Instead, we use 1" steel tubing welded to the top of the frame for the hinge and a 3/4" solid steel rod with a handle welded to it for the pin.  This configuration provides exceptional strength yet allows the frame to be separated into two halves quite easily.

Like our competition grade A-frame, you can order your practice grade frame with or without wheels, on one or both sides.  Our standard wheels are 8" diameter steel wheels with rubber tires and sealed ball bearing rollers, and 5" rubber swivel casters.  If you order an A-frame with 4 wheels, two wheels are normally fixed on one side and two wheels are swivel casters on the other side, unless you specify different.  The wheels flip up and out of the way when the frame is being used and can easily be flipped down for moving the frame around your yard.  We build the wheels so that one wheel can be flipped up or down at a time, and the frame can easily be tipped to one side to flip your wheels up or down.

We offer our practice A-frames either unfinished or completely finished and ready to use.  If you are handy with a can of spray paint and a paint roller, you can save significant $$ by purchasing your A-frame unfinished and painting it yourself.  The average person (even you ladies) can easily paint an A-frame in one weekend, and instructions for painting the frame and plywood and applying the non-skid finish are included with each unfinished A-frame.
